This is the fixed version with the yum update config issues sorted.


Don't have a torrent for it at the moment.

Got this other day but waiting to install.

Is there any video codecs around for this ? xvid h.264 and quicktime ?

So how do you install it? Just go to the "Install other OS" in the menu? Or do you have to format the whole PS3 and only use linux? :P

terrasoft have a good guide to install yellow dog, quite simple by the looks of it.

You can pick up the dvd on ebay for 6 quid to save you the hassle of downloading. search for "ps3 linux".

You can download it for free. Not just torrent its a freenly available download, just buried on their website,

Im about to download and install yellow dog onto my ps3, and having never used linux before, i could do with advice from someone whos already done it.

Did anyone try it in the end ??

Unless you are a bit of a computer whizz don't bother.
Setting it up and getting it going is easy enough but trying to download any software to get basic things such as Java to work is a total pain,you have to work in command prompts similar to using MS-DOS.
You need to have a keyboard and mouse to do the install (as well as to use Linux itself) the PS3 pad wont work with it.
