In fact it made no noise on my old A656 which was the same as the A856 just had a different case.
That's interesting, I'm glad that it helped youOK thanks to Rebuk's post in the last thread I have now got the Youtube widget working here in the UK. There is only one other widget available using this method and that is Accuweather, unfortunately it is stuck on Budapest. The display and contols bear no resemblance to the Yahoo widget system available in the UK but to my mind it is better with useful tools such as internet speed analysis.
1) Yes I am using 2001 firmware
2) Although the TV tuned in all the digital channels using Hungary as country they were all mixed up.
3) So I retuned the channels having selected UK as the country and the channels are now back in their logical order
4) Even though I have selected UK as the source for Digital TV channels, the internet Tv widgets are still Youtube and accuweather (now set up for my UK regional town) so I guess altering "Infolink country" from "None" to "Hungary" in the service menu and then resetting the TV is enough to convince internet TV that I am in Hungary and not the UK.
5) I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of youtube videos set to full screen on this 46" panel, the Samsung upscaling is doing an excellent job and is producing a better picture than my 22" computer monitor does. One thing that I haven't sussed out is why I can't log on to youtube from the B650 using a username and password that I set up from my PC.
6) The UK widgets seem to be Yahoo (Flickr) sourced but those in Hungary are Google(youtube)
PS, Wimbledon, BBC HD, Humax Foxsat HDR and a 46" B650 is absolutely fantastic, this equipment brings a whole new dimension to TV viewing especially sport !!
2) Power up set and press reset for about 10 seconds until you get the message "Resets all settings to default values" then select OK and the set will reset.QUOTE]
Hi Dog, just in the process of doing this 'mod' but where is the reset button ?
Cheers
OK thanks to Rebuk's post in the last thread I have now got the Youtube widget working here in the UK. Anyway here is how I did it.
1) From standby go to the service menu ( INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER) then select "Control", then select "sub option", then adjust "Info Link Country" from None to Hungary. Power down set to get out of the service menu.
2) Power up set and press Exit on the remote for about 10 seconds until you get the message "Resets all settings to default values" then select OK and the set will reset.
3) When the set is powered up again after the reset, select English as the Language (if that is your language) but then select Hungary as your country (that option was not available before altering the service menu to Hungary). The set will then do its normal auto tune and find all the UK stations as normal even though it thinks it is in Hungary.
4) Now you can select internet and your widget display and options will be totally different from before (press accept a couple of times) but the crux of the matter is that you will now have the Youtube widget and it is pretty darn good too.
Sorry Nigel my mistake, press Exit on the remote (aprox 10 secs) until you get the message "resets all settings to default values" then select OK to reset the TV. I've amended my OP to reflect this, cheers.
By the way if you press Return on the remote for about 10 seconds you can carry out an internal diagnosis of the TV. Press Info on the remote for about 10 secs when watching a DTV channel and you will be given "signal information".
All Done Now it brings a new life into my 46 650 !!
Just have to chage the picture/sound now, and its all sorted
Cheers again DOG
Does Youtube recognise your username and password when logging in from the B650? I can't get that to work for me.
Works fine for me m8.
Just to let you know that last night I successfully changed my Widgets to the Ireland ones (i.e. youTube and Accuweather) by using this method posted by "gryzzor" a couple of days ago :
- Plug&Play menu, install and choose Ireland Country and langageBy doing it this way there is no need to go into the service menu!
- Search Digital Channels
[edit - power down tv, then power up again]
- Pressed Internet@TV, the widget update it
- Then, after have Youtube, i go to menu and select France [edit - United Kingdom] country and langage
- Search again channels (this one is to class the channels in order)
and still have youtube and weather.
But now, i don't have the other widgets (twiter,texas,flicker....)
Hi, all
While playing of an mkv file, the picture freezes for a second and the playback stops. Seams like a corrupted file, but there is no problem when playing the movie on a PC. It always stops on the same position of the movie. However, it is possible to jump this position and then the playback continues. Tried with another movie, but the result was same. There were few positions in the file where this issue occured. Very annoying !!!
Does anybody faced the same problem?
BTW, any idea what is new in the new firmware 2001.0?
Regards,
Information for us B650T2P Users
We have to wait till proper firmware for the CI+ models will come around!
Firmware should be something like. T-CHLCIPDEUC
Firmware will come sometime as CI+ will be the new standard!

Hi guys. I got my LE40B60 last weekend and I'm overjoyed with it. It's a massive upgrade from my 32" Tosh 32WLT66. My blacks are black now!
One problem I did find though: the first few minutes of Casino Royale (played from a Bluray source). There is a lot of shimmering fizz in the (very pronounced) film grain in the black&white sections. I'm sure this is down to one of the TV's post processing options, but, uhh, well, I have no idea where to start looking... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I haven't calibrated the screen yet, or changed any settings at all except to switch game mode on on a few devices (annoyingly, I need to toggle game mode on/off on the PS3 input and it's a few menu levels deep) and play with the 100Hz option sliders (trying to make 24p look less like video). Can anyone recommend me a setup procedure?
Sorry..but can you please clarify what is CI Slot...and difference between CI+ and CI
My Model no is LA40B650T1R
Hi,
What the R is now related to is a good question. Do you have the name of your firmware available?
Thanks
Shandrakar
I have just bought a LE45B650 (love it) and I can't for the life of me get the firmware updated (it is on 1008) via usb. I have tried the file in the root of a usb, two drives, in the folder, out of the folder, with and without the .exe, renamed the bin to .(nothing), but no joy with either the menu based update or pressing source and power on. I have tried both USB sockets
I simply get the error file could not be found.
T-AMBPEUMD-1023.0.bin is the file I have created from the .exe. I have downloaded a few times too!!
Anybody got any pointers... this shouldn't be so hard!!
I've been a very happy and very sad owner of an LA37B650 for a week now...
Bright and colourful blu rays like "a bug's life" and "Planet Earth" look fantastic. However anything with people in it look terrible and I see red blurring around the edge of peoples faces, hairline, eyebrows when they move (very noticeable in close ups).
I set my camera up on a tripod and took some photos at 100th of a second which hopefully demonstrates my problem as in theory I've only captured 1 frame. I have attached a photo out of 700 I took (probably not the worst but it demonstrates the problem). I'm not sure if this is the same issue some other users have experienced. Happens regardless of what settings I've tried and my panel type is AA01. I plan to give Samsung a call tomorrow I desperately hope there is a solution as the shop had to order the TV in for me and I doubt they will happily take it back.
